New graduate actuarial development program (ADP)
Designed to bring future business and technical leaders to the company, this rotational program gives new grads exposure to different divisions and departments. It’s designed to help you develop the skills you need for a successful actuarial career.
We employ top actuarial talent all over the world. In Canada, that includes positions in Toronto, Montreal and Kitchener-Waterloo; globally, we have roles in Boston and across Asia. We support ADP members financially as they complete the exams administered by the Society of Actuaries and co-sponsored by the Canadian Institute of Actuaries . We also offer mentorship and study support through our program committees and vast network of supportive Manulife leaders.
Actuarial co-op program
Participants get every chance to make valuable contributions to the development of our products and services. We hire first- to fourth-year university students with an actuarial focus for work terms in valuation, pricing, model vetting, audit and more. These positions can also be a pipeline into the Actuarial Development Program and are available in our Kitchener-Waterloo, Montreal, Boston and Toronto offices.
Recruitment for Actuarial co-ops takes place in January, May and September. Students not enrolled in a co-op program should apply in September to be considered for the summer internship program.
Our students speak
“Manulife has an amazing breadth of learning opportunities that have allowed me to develop a broad skill set and gain exposure to many different topics early in my career. In addition, the strong focus on development and support from senior management is very evident. Combined with the exceptional people that I've worked with in the past, returning to Manulife after graduating was an easy choice!”
